Job Coach 

The Arc Idaho is a nonprofit organization that serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We have an opening for a Job Coach (full time)

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED and experience with people with disabilities or related experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Must have Idaho Driver’s license, qualified personal vehicle and own vehicle insurance. Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification upon hire with no cost to the employee.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation with no cost to the employee.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with our participants in the community and/or in our center-based program.
  • Assisting adults with disabilities in achieving their dreams of independence.
  • As Job Coach you will teach individuals having disabilities to enrich their job skills and much more.
  • Daytime hours M-F.

Residential Coach Full-time and Part-time

Job Summary

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED and experience with people with disabilities or related experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Must have Idaho Driver’s license, qualified personal vehicle and own vehicle insurance.
  • Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification upon hire at no cost to the employee.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation at no cost to the employee.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with individuals with disabilities in their residential home.
  • Address any needs that occur for the resident at night, do meal prep for the next day's meals, help with cleaning of the common areas of the home, and much more.

Route Driver 

Most Weekends Off!

The Arc, Inc. has a full-time opening for a Donations Pick-up Driver. The duties include driving a box truck to pick-up and deliver donated clothing and small household items from local residential homes. Drivers typically make 50-100 stops per day. Additional duties include: Perform vehicle checks, use a map and GPS, route the daily schedule of pick-ups, pick up and deliver donated articles and generate and process reports.Hours are 6:30 a.m. until the routes are finished Monday-Friday. Drivers may also be required to work some Saturdays. This is a physical, fast paced job that requires multi-tasking. High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education. Must have valid driver’s license, CLEAN driving record and be insurable. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds on a regular basis.

Human Resources

Member Duties: Working with the HR Manager in developing new best practices or update existing ones to meet the HR department goals. Identify employee branding and how they can capitalize on their brand. Evaluate employee orientation, training and safety program and make recommendation for improvements.

 

BENEFITS

Living Allowance - $ 1,026 month (before tax.) Only Federal Tax will be withheld.

End-of-Service Options

1.     Cash - $ 1,800

2.     Education - $ 5,920 towards future classes up to 7 years or pay existing student loans.

Health Care Options:

1.     Health Care Allowance - Primarily for VISTA that already have a primary insurance plan. This off-sets their out-of-pocket up to $ 7,150.

2.     Health Care Benefits - Covers specific out-of-pocket expense.

Child Care Benefit - Covers child care expense for child under the age of 13 living with VISTA member.
