Arc Yard Sale

The Arc is having an agency wide yard sale on Saturday, July 16th! The Arc has invited all employees to participate in a large yard sale held here at 4402 Albion Street (one block south of Franklin off Orchard Street) on July 16th. There will be a large variety of items from several different sellers and we invite you to come by because there will surely be something for everyone. The sale will run for one day only, will start at 8am and end at 2pm.

Shop for Good Results

Last month we were the lucky recipients of Boise Co-op’s Shop for Good day. As the winners of their online contest, we collected 4% of the profits from the store on June 16th. We also set up a booth at the store in order to talk to customers about what The Arc does and thank them for shopping on our day. As a result, our Shop for Good Day raised over $2900 for our programs! We would like to thank everyone who voted for us online and who came to the Boise Co-op that day!

Fit for Life

This year Fit for Life will partner with The Arc to collect clothing items to support programs for Treasure Valley’s citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Most folks think of The Arc as “that group that helps me clean out my closet when they call for clothing donations.” Many are not aware that The Arc has been serving the valley for 55 years to ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families have the supports they need to live a fulfilling life.

Keith Donahue and 50 Give

Keith Donahue had a mission to volunteer in all 50 states and made a stop with us at The Arc, Inc. on June 1st.  He participated in a tour of the facility, monthly client meeting, group bike ride, and helped make B'ARC Bones on site.  Check out his blog and kind words about The Arc here.  Photos and media coverage from that day are at the bottom of his page.  Thank you to the Boise Guest House for his great lodging experience!

Shop For Good!

The Boise Co-op is a member owned cooperative located in the heart of Boise’s north end. Every month the Co-op selects a group of non-profit organizations to compete in a poll that allows the community to decide on a winner. The non-profit with the highest number of votes is then awarded a Shop For Good Day at The Co-op. The winning non-profit will get 4% of the total store and Wine Shop sales for that day.
