Direct Care Staff

The Arc, Inc. has a full and part time openings for Direct Care Staff.  The duties include working with our participants in their residential home, in the community, on the job and/or in our center-based program.  Assist adults with disabilities achieve independence.  As direct care staff you will teach individuals having disabilities to prepare meals, manage money, shop, job skills and much more. 

High School Diploma or GED and experience with people with disabilities or related experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education. Must have Idaho Driver’s license, qualified personal vehicle and own vehicle insurance.  Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification upon hire.  Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation.

Live-In Attendant

We have a part-time opening for a Live In Attendant.  Spends overnights in on-site two bedroom apartment attached to the home, rent free and provides care as needed.  Works as Residential Coach on assigned shifts.  Meets established time frames that incumbent must be present in the home for overnight shifts and any other assigned shifts.  Assists participants in personal care skills, appropriate clothing choices, clothing maintenance, cooking, and household duties.  Participates in routine daily household duties to include, but not limited to personal living area, general household maintenance and food preparation.  General household maintenance includes, but not limited to cleanliness, reporting necessary repairs and lawn care.  Monitors participant’s administration of medications.  Monitors participants under a variety of situations.  Safely transports participants as assigned.
