The Arc is committed to helping all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, in partnership with their families, to achieve the opportunity to choose and realize their goals of where and how they learn, live, work and play.

Belief Statements

The Arc’s vision is that every individual and family affected by intellectual disability in the Treasure Valley has access to the information, advocacy, and skills they need to participate as active citizens of our democracy and active members in our community. We work to ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families have the supports they need to live a fulfilling life:

• The Arc believes that every person with a disability can realize their hopes and dreams for their future.
• The Arc believes that all people with disabilities and their families are valued, respected and are included in our community.
• The Arc believes in assisting individuals with disabilities to increase their level of independence in all areas of their lives.
• The Arc believes that individuals with disabilities should be given every opportunity to achieve their goals and to become actively involved in our community.
